Artist's Description
Old truck from Canol Pipeline Project. The Canol Road was part of a project to build the Canol pipeline and a road from Norman Wells, Northwest Territories, to Whitehorse, Yukon, during World War II. The project was abandoned in 1945 due to the pipeline not performing satisfactorily. Everything was left as is. This is one of the old vehicles left behind and now sits at the Norman Wells Historical Center in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories.
