Artist's Description

This piece is dedicated with love to my friend and brother Craig Scott who transitioned to the Spirit world in March, 2014.

Our muskox friends walked the Earth with the woolly mammoths many thousands of years ago. You will find this resilient and majestic creature still thriving on the Arctic parts of our planet. They remind us to be resilient and to remember who we are, where we came from, and to respect the ways of the Ancestors no matter how hard that may be.

When muskox feel threatened, they stand together and surround the young ones to protect them from harm. In this way they teach us to take a stand with integrity for what we know is right, especially when it will affect the next generations.

About Barb Cote

Barb Cote

Barb Cote's deep love and respect for Mother Earth speaks loudly through her drawings. They are created from visions she receives from Spirit. She learned later in life that she is of Metis descent/Ojibwe lineage. It was like her whole life finally made sense. Barb is extremely proud to have the blood of her red Ancestors racing through her veins and fueling her soul. Barb was born and raised in the small town of Cobalt in Northern Ontario, Canada however has lived the most part of her life in Canada's Northwest Territories. She spends most of the year living a simple life in her off grid shack. Learn more about the Artist by visiting...
